Heads Up, Bethlehem Area Shoppers:

Price Chopper Fuel Discounts Ending August 1

🛒 Heads Up, Bethlehem Area Shoppers: Price Chopper Fuel Discounts Ending August 1 🚗💳

If you've been using your Price Chopper or Market 32 AdvantEdge points to save money at the gas pump, an important change is on the way.

Starting August 1, the longtime Fuel AdvantEdge partnership with Sunoco gas stations will come to an end, bringing an end to a program that has provided fuel savings to shoppers for many years.

📅 What You Need to Know

Fuel AdvantEdge gas discounts end August 1
🛒 AdvantEdge points can still be used for savings at Price Chopper and Market 32 stores.
🚫 After July 31, points will no longer be redeemable for fuel discounts at participating Sunoco locations.

According to company officials, many customers have increasingly chosen to redeem their AdvantEdge points for in-store grocery savings rather than discounts on gasoline. Participating Sunoco stations, including some operated by Stewart's Shops, have already posted notices informing customers of the upcoming change.

📍 Local shoppers may notice the signs at participating gas stations, including the Stewart's Shops on Delaware Avenue in Delmar.

If you've been saving your points for gas, you'll want to redeem them before August 1 if you plan to take advantage of the fuel discount while it's still available.

💬 Did you usually use your AdvantEdge points for gas or groceries? Let us know which option you preferred in the comments!

🧩☕ THURSDAY MORNING MATH PUZZLER SOLVED! ☕🧩

🧠 Thursday Morning Math Puzzler Solution!

Today's puzzle is:

Let's solve it step by step using PEMDAS (Order of Operations).

📚 Step 1: Solve the Parentheses First

Inside the parentheses:

3 + 6 = 9

Now the equation becomes:

15 − 2 × 9

📚 Step 2: Do the Multiplication

Multiply before subtracting:

2 × 9 = 18

Now you have:

15 − 18

📚 Step 3: Subtract

15 − 18 = -3

🎉 Final Answer: -3

💡 Teaching Tip

Many people mistakenly do the subtraction first:

15 − 2 = 13
Then:
13 × 9 = 117 (Incorrect!)

The mistake is ignoring the Order of Operations.

Remember the rule:

PEMDAS

  • P – Parentheses

  • E – Exponents

  • M – Multiplication

  • D – Division

  • A – Addition

  • S – Subtraction

After solving the parentheses, multiplication always comes before subtraction.

🏆 Final Check

  • Parentheses: 3 + 6 = 9

  • Multiplication: 2 × 9 = 18

  • Subtraction: 15 − 18 = -3

Correct Answer: -3

💬 Did you get -3 on your first try, or did this one trip you up? Share your answer in the comments before peeking at the solution! 🧠🎯
