After two games, it all comes down to this.

The Bethlehem Central Eagles and Mohonasen Warriors will meet this afternoon in a winner-take-all showdown for the Section 2 Class AA Championship! ⚾🏟️

The Eagles opened the series with a dominant 9-0 victory, while Mohonasen answered back with a 9-0 win in Game 2, setting the stage for an epic championship finale.

🥍🦅 EAGLES FALL IN SECTIONAL FINAL AFTER HARD-FOUGHT BATTLE 🧡🖤

The Bethlehem Central Eagles Varsity Girls Lacrosse team saw their impressive postseason run come to an end Sunday afternoon at Siena University, falling to Queensbury 10-8 in the Section 2 Class B Championship Game.

After splitting their regular season meetings, the top-seeded Eagles and defending sectional champion Spartans delivered another thrilling matchup in front of a passionate crowd at Hickey Field. The game was tied 7-7 at halftime before Queensbury scored two quick goals early in the third quarter and held on down the stretch.

🔥 Brianna Fabian led the Eagles with 3 goals
🔥 Hailey Bushart added 2 goals
🔥 The Eagles battled back to within one goal late in the fourth quarter

Queensbury's Kady Duffy controlled much of the game's possession battle, helping the Spartans capture their eighth consecutive Section 2 championship.

While Sunday's result wasn't the ending the Eagles hoped for, this Bethlehem team put together a tremendous season, earning the #1 seed, reaching the Section 2 Championship Game, and giving the community plenty to cheer about throughout the spring. 👏

Congratulations to the 83 newest members of the Gladys E. Newell Chapter of the National Honor Society at Bethlehem Central High School! 👏🧡🖤

During a special induction ceremony held on May 26, students were recognized for exemplifying the four pillars of the National Honor Society:

The Voorheesville Blackbirds Varsity Girls Lacrosse team wrapped up an outstanding season Sunday afternoon after battling top-seeded Schuylerville in the Section 2 Class D Championship Game.

Despite a determined effort, the Blackbirds came up short against the Black Horses by a final score of 12-9.

Reaching a sectional championship game is an incredible accomplishment, and the Blackbirds represented their school and community with pride, determination, and heart throughout the season. 👏
