A major announcement from Slingerlands-based Plug Power could mark another important step in the company's ongoing financial strategy and future growth plans. 📈

Plug Power announced it has reached new agreements with Stream US Data Centers that are expected to strengthen the company's financial position while opening the door to future opportunities in the rapidly growing data center industry.

💰 More than $80 million in near-term liquidity is expected from two transactions, with the company's broader infrastructure optimization plan targeting over $275 million in total liquidity improvements.

🌎 Texas Project Sale
Plug has signed an agreement to sell its Graham, Texas project for up to $76.5 million, with the transaction expected to close around July 31, 2026, pending customary closing conditions. The deal is also expected to free approximately $14 million in restricted cash.

🏗️ New York Gateway Project Update
Plug and Stream have restructured their previously announced agreement involving the New York Gateway Project.

Under the revised arrangement:
✅ Existing escrow funds will be released to Plug.
✅ A new escrow deposit will be made toward the purchase.
✅ The land portion of the project is expected to close sooner.
✅ The closing for the remaining non-land assets has been extended through March 31, 2027 while environmental and regulatory reviews continue.

The total purchase price for the New York project remains $142 million.

⚡ Looking Ahead
In addition to the transactions, Plug Power and Stream Data Centers say they are exploring future opportunities to deploy Plug's hydrogen technologies within the growing data center sector.

Headquartered in Slingerlands, Plug Power remains one of the Capital Region's most recognizable clean-energy companies.

According to the company, it:
🔹 Employs more than 730 people in New York
🔹 Supports approximately $69 million in annual payroll across the state
🔹 Continues expanding its hydrogen production and fuel-cell technologies throughout North America and internationally.

Company leadership said these transactions are part of a broader effort to improve liquidity, strengthen margins, and support long-term growth while continuing to execute its 2026 financial objectives.
