Preparing For Surgery? Don’t Ignore Recovery

Most people spend weeks preparing for surgery itself β€” but very little time preparing for recovery afterward.

The healing process places major nutritional demands on the body, increasing the need for nutrients involved in tissue repair, immune support, collagen formation, and recovery.

HealFast was physician-formulated specifically for pre- and post-surgery nutritional support with targeted vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, and recovery-focused nutrients designed for the healing process.

If you have an upcoming procedure or are currently recovering, recovery nutrition may be one of the most overlooked parts of the process.

πŸš—πŸ’° RELIEF AT THE PUMP? HOCHUL SIGNS CAR INSURANCE REFORM BILL INTO LAW βš–οΈπŸ“‰

New York drivers could soon see some savings on their auto insurance bills after Governor Kathy Hochul signed a package of reforms aimed at lowering car insurance costs statewide. 🚘

The new laws, passed as part of the state budget, target insurance fraud, excessive payouts, and rate-setting practices that officials say have contributed to some of the highest insurance premiums in the nation. πŸ‘€

πŸ“Š According to recent data:
πŸ’΅ New Yorkers currently pay an average of $1,895 per vehicle annually for car insurance
πŸ“‰ The national average is about $1,438

State officials estimate the reforms could reduce costs by as much as 10%, potentially saving drivers around:
πŸ’² $200+ per vehicle each year

Key changes include:
βœ… Cracking down on fraudulent insurance claims
βœ… Clarifying what qualifies as a β€œserious injury” in lawsuits
βœ… Limiting excessive insurance company profits
βœ… Prohibiting insurers from setting rates based on:
πŸ“ ZIP code
🏠 Homeownership
πŸ’Ό Occupation
πŸŽ“ Education level

Governor Hochul called the reforms a β€œwin for every New Yorker who depends on a car to go to work or drop their kids at school.” πŸš—πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

For many Capital Region families already dealing with rising costs for groceries, housing, and fuel, even modest insurance savings could provide some welcome relief. πŸ’Έ

πŸ’¬ What do you think β€” will these reforms actually help lower insurance costs for local drivers?
