The Port of Coeymans continues to expand its footprint far beyond the Capital Region, playing a major role in some of the Northeastโs biggest infrastructure, transportation, and energy projects โ while also bringing jobs and investment back home to local communities. ๐๏ธ๐โ
Five months into 2026, officials say the port is already operating at a fast pace:
๐ 20 ship calls recorded by April 20
๐ Compared to 46 total ship calls during all of 2025
๐ก Local impact close to home
According to Carver Companies, the port:
๐ฐ Paid more than $1 million in school taxes in 2025
๐ฐ Paid more than $450,000 in property taxes
๐ท Added 66 new hires last year
๐ญ Supports more than 100 direct jobs at the port alone
The Coeymans Industrial Park is also reportedly operating near full capacity, with only a small number of shovel-ready development sites remaining.
