⛸️🏒🎉 BIG WIN FOR BETHLEHEM! $50,000 STATE GRANT TO UPGRADE DELMAR YMCA SKATING RINK! 🏆👏

📍 DELMAR, NY — Great news for Bethlehem families, young hockey players, and skating enthusiasts!

The Capital District YMCA's Bethlehem location on Delaware Avenue is getting a major boost thanks to a $50,000 state grant secured by Assemblyman Scott Bendett! 💰⛸️

The funding will help modernize the YMCA's year-round skating facility, making it safer and more enjoyable for hundreds of local families who use the rink annually.

🏒 WHAT'S GETTING AN UPGRADE?

The $50,000 investment will fund several improvements:

⛸️ Approximately 100 NEW rental skates — Replacing aging equipment with skates that provide better ankle and foot support.

🏆 NEW scoreboards — Improving the experience for hockey players, teams, and spectators.

🎵 NEW sound system — Enhancing skating sessions, games, and special events.

🛠️ NEW edger — Helping maintain the ice surface.

These upgrades will benefit everyone from first-time skaters to competitive hockey players!

🧡🖤 A BIG BOOST FOR BETHLEHEM YOUTH SPORTS!

The Bethlehem YMCA rink plays an important role in our community, serving as home ice for:

🏒 Bethlehem Youth Hockey Association

🦅 Bethlehem Central High School Hockey Program

⛸️ YMCA Learn-to-Skate Programs

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Recreational skating for local families

YMCA Senior Program Director Jeff Silengo emphasized that the improvements represent an investment in the families who have supported the facility for years.

The new rental skates are especially important because better-fitting, more supportive equipment can improve safety and help young skaters develop their skills and confidence.

🏆 INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY'S FUTURE!

Assemblyman Scott Bendett, who has experience coaching youth sports, helped secure the state funding.

The investment recognizes the important role community skating facilities play in helping young people develop teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and lasting friendships.

For Bethlehem families, the improvements mean better equipment, an enhanced skating experience, and continued opportunities for children to enjoy winter sports throughout the year.

👏 THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING BETHLEHEM!

Congratulations to the Bethlehem YMCA, its staff, and the many families and athletes who will benefit from these improvements!

And thank you to Assemblyman Scott Bendett for securing funding that will support an important local recreational facility.

The problem:

25 + 25 × 15 = ?

Step 1: Remember the order of operations (PEMDAS).

👉 Multiplication comes BEFORE addition!

25 × 15 = 375
