On Friday, the Eagles delivered a dominant performance in the Section 2 Class AA Championship Series opener, shutting out the Mohonasen Warriors 9-0 and extending their winning streak to four consecutive games! πŸ§‘πŸ–€

πŸ”₯ The star of the game was pitcher Jacob Bradt, who was simply sensational on the mound. Bradt tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits while keeping the Warriors off the scoreboard all afternoon. πŸ‘βšΎ

πŸ’₯ At the plate, the Eagles offense was firing on all cylinders:

A frightening situation in Voorheesville Friday night thankfully ended without any injuries. πŸ™

According to authorities, a train struck a vehicle near the railroad crossing at Maple Avenue and Joslin Avenue shortly after 9:00 PM.

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple reported that the driver told investigators his vehicle's tire became stuck on the tracks. πŸš—πŸš‚

Fortunately, the driver and his wife were able to get out of the vehicle and move to safety before the train collided with the car.

βœ… No injuries were reported.

CSX officials confirmed the crash occurred Friday evening, and emergency responders quickly arrived on scene.

This incident serves as an important reminder to always exercise caution around railroad crossings and never attempt to remain in a vehicle if it becomes disabled on the tracks.

πŸ™ We're grateful everyone involved was able to walk away safely.
