🥤🎉 CAPITAL REGION FAVORITE BARE BLENDS ENTERS A NEW CHAPTER! 🌿🍓
Big business news for the Capital Region! One of the area's best-known smoothie and açaí bowl brands, Bare Blends, has been acquired by SoBol, a growing smoothie franchise based on Long Island. The transition is expected to include rebranding the local stores under the SoBol name while continuing plans for expansion throughout the region.
📍 Why This Matters to Bethlehem Area Residents
For many residents of Bethlehem, Glenmont, Delmar, Slingerlands, Selkirk, RCS, and Voorheesville, Bare Blends has become a popular destination for healthy smoothies, fresh juices, and nutritious açaí bowls. The company's Glenmont Plaza location has been a favorite stop for families, students, athletes, and health-conscious customers.
The acquisition signals continued investment in the Capital Region's healthy dining scene and could bring:
🥤 A larger menu and additional offerings
📈 Continued expansion throughout the area
💼 Ongoing local employment opportunities
🌱 More choices for residents looking for fresh, healthier meal options
Bare Blends was founded locally and grew into a regional success story with multiple locations before attracting the attention of the expanding SoBol brand. According to reports, the acquisition was completed earlier this year, with local stores expected to transition to the SoBol brand in the coming months.
👏 Congratulations to the founders and team at Bare Blends on building a business that has become a recognizable Capital Region brand. We wish everyone involved continued success in this exciting new chapter!

🚓💙 WHAT A NIGHT! BETHLEHEM'S NATIONAL NIGHT OUT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! 🎉🚒👮
Hundreds of smiling faces, community spirit, and an evening full of fun made this year's National Night Out at Elm Avenue Park one to remember! ❤️
Tuesday evening, more than 80 organizations, first responders, businesses, and community groups came together to celebrate everything that makes the Town of Bethlehem such a special place to call home.
Families from across Delmar, Glenmont, Slingerlands, Selkirk, and the surrounding community enjoyed an unforgettable evening filled with opportunities to meet the dedicated men and women who work every day to keep our neighborhoods safe.
Some of the evening's highlights included:
🚁 A visit from the New York State Police Aviation Unit helicopter
🚓 Police, fire, and EMS vehicle displays
🎶 Live music and entertainment
🧗 Rock climbing, bounce houses, and inflatable activities
🏹 Archery and hands-on activities for kids
🍦 Free ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, and other treats
🎁 Raffles, giveaways, and thousands of toys for children
The evening also celebrated the winners of the Public Safety Poster Contest, promoting safe e-bike and e-scooter use, while local first responders were recognized for their outstanding service to the community.
❤️ A Community That Comes Together
National Night Out is about much more than fun and entertainment. It's an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between residents and first responders, encourage crime prevention, and remind us that strong communities are built through trust, communication, and neighbors looking out for one another.
From the youngest children climbing aboard emergency vehicles to neighbors reconnecting with friends and meeting local officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel, the evening perfectly reflected the community spirit that makes Bethlehem such a wonderful place to live.
👏 A heartfelt thank you to the Bethlehem Police Department, Delmar-Bethlehem EMS, local fire departments, volunteers, sponsors, community organizations, and everyone who helped make this year's National Night Out such a tremendous success. Your dedication and hard work created an evening our community won't soon forget!

WEDNESDAY MORNING
MATH PUZZLER SOLVED!

🧠✅ Wednesday Morning Math Puzzler Solution!
The problem is:
36 + 36 ÷ 6 × 3 = ?
Step 1: Remember the Order of Operations (PEMDAS)
The rule is:
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication & Division (from left to right)
Addition & Subtraction (from left to right)
Step 2: Solve the division first
36 ÷ 6 = 6
Now the equation becomes:
36 + 6 × 3
Step 3: Solve the multiplication
6 × 3 = 18
Now the equation is:
36 + 18
Step 4: Add
36 + 18 = 54
🎉 Final Answer: 54 ✅
💡 Why People Get It Wrong
A common mistake is adding first:
❌ 36 + 36 = 72
72 ÷ 6 = 12
12 × 3 = 36 (Incorrect)
Another mistake is multiplying before dividing:
❌ 6 × 3 = 18 first, then 36 ÷ 18 = 2
36 + 2 = 38 (Incorrect)
Remember:
👉 Division and multiplication have the same priority.
👉 Always work from LEFT TO RIGHT.
So:
36 ÷ 6 × 3
becomes
6 × 3 = 18, not 36 ÷ 18.
🧠 Math Tip of the Day
PEMDAS doesn't mean "Multiply before Divide."
It means:
Multiplication and Division are equals → solve left to right.
Addition and Subtraction are equals → solve left to right.
Following this simple rule will help you avoid one of the most common math mistakes!
🏆 Correct Answer: 54 🎯
