California. Texas. The Billboard Hot 100. It's all on Kalshi.
The California governor primary is live right now. So is the Texas Senate race, the 2028 presidential field, and the question of whether Taylor Swift releases a song for Toy Story 5.
Political and cultural markets on Kalshi move in real time — as news breaks, odds shift. Which means someone who reads closely, follows polls, and actually pays attention to what's happening has a genuine edge over someone who doesn't.
On Kalshi, information is the advantage. The platform is federally regulated under the CFTC, with no house edge and no restricted winners. Every dollar traded reflects real collective intelligence about what's going to happen.
If you're already following politics and culture closely, Kalshi turns that attention into an asset.

🥵🌡️ DANGEROUS HEAT CONTINUES TODAY! TAKE PRECAUTIONS, BETHLEHEM! ☀️💦

🥵🌡️ DANGEROUS HEAT CONTINUES TODAY! TAKE PRECAUTIONS, BETHLEHEM! ☀️💦
The dangerous heat isn't over yet! 🌞🥵 Today will bring another round of hot, humid, and potentially hazardous conditions across the Capital Region, including Bethlehem and Albany County.
According to the National Weather Service, Albany is expected to reach around 95°F today, but with the humidity, the heat index could climb to approximately 101°F, making it feel even hotter. 🌡️🔥
⚠️ Heat-related illnesses become much more likely during conditions like these, especially for:
👵 Older adults
👶 Young children
❤️ People with chronic health conditions
🐶 Pets left outdoors or in vehicles
👷 Outdoor workers and athletes
🌞 Stay Safe Today:
💧 Drink plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
🏠 Spend time in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade if you're outdoors.
🏃 Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day.
🐾 Bring pets indoors or provide plenty of shade and fresh water.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes.
🎆 The heat will continue through the Fourth of July weekend, although temperatures are expected to gradually become more comfortable by early next week.
If you have elderly neighbors, relatives, or anyone who may be vulnerable to the heat, please take a few minutes to check in on them today. ❤️
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe, Bethlehem!

🧩💙 PROJECT LIFESAVER: A PROGRAM THAT COULD SAVE A LIFE 💙📡
🧩💙 PROJECT LIFESAVER: A PROGRAM THAT COULD SAVE A LIFE 💙📡
In the wake of the heartbreaking loss of 7-year-old Harbe Nagi, many Capital Region families are learning about Project Lifesaver—a program designed to help locate individuals with autism, other neurodivergent conditions, or Alzheimer's who may wander from safety.
The program provides participants with a small radio-frequency tracking bracelet, worn on the wrist or ankle, that allows trained law enforcement officers to quickly locate someone if they go missing.
📍 In Albany County:
✅ Approximately 135 individuals are currently enrolled.
✅ The program is used 40–50 times each year to help locate missing participants.
✅ Following this week's tragedy, 22 additional families have already signed up.
The tracking devices are funded through grants and assets seized from criminal activity, meaning the program is available at no cost to taxpayers.
For many local families, Project Lifesaver provides an added layer of protection and peace of mind while recognizing that wandering can happen unexpectedly.
📡 How Project Lifesaver Works
👤 Participant wears a lightweight tracking bracelet.
📶 The bracelet emits a unique radio signal.
👮 Specially trained law enforcement officers use tracking equipment to locate the individual if they become lost.
⏱️ Faster searches can help reduce the risk of injury and improve outcomes.
❤️ While no program can replace close supervision, Project Lifesaver is another important tool that can help protect some of our community's most vulnerable residents.
If you have a loved one with autism, another neurodivergent condition, Alzheimer's disease, or another diagnosis associated with wandering, consider contacting your local law enforcement agency to learn whether Project Lifesaver is available in your area and whether it may be appropriate for your family.
Please consider sharing this information—it could help another family learn about a resource they didn't know existed.

🇺🇸⚓ WATCH A U.S. NAVY WARSHIP SAIL PAST BETHLEHEM THIS FRIDAY! 🚢🎆
This Fourth of July weekend, Bethlehem residents will have the chance to witness a rare and patriotic sight on the Hudson River as the USS Marinette (LCS-25) makes its way north to the Port of Albany on Friday, July 3.
One of the best local viewing locations is expected to be Henry Hudson Park in Bethlehem, where the ship is anticipated to pass by later in the day. While schedules can change, spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.
⚓ About the USS Marinette
🇺🇸 Commissioned in September 2023
📍 Homeported at Naval Station Mayport, Florida
📏 378-foot Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship
🌊 Designed for coastal missions including surface warfare and mine countermeasures
The visit is part of the nation's 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) celebrations, as well as the International Naval Review and Fourth of July events taking place throughout New York.
⭐ Historic Visit
This marks the first visit by a major active-duty U.S. Navy ship to the Port of Albany in more than 30 years, with the last occurring in 1993.
🚢 Planning to Watch?
✔️ Henry Hudson Park is expected to offer one of the best public viewing opportunities.
✔️ Arrival times may vary due to river traffic, tides, weather, and navigation conditions.
✔️ Bring your camera and your patriotic spirit! 📸🇺🇸
⚓ Public Ship Tours
Following its arrival, the USS Marinette will be open for free public tours from July 4 through July 7.
🎟️ Tours are currently fully booked, but a waitlist remains available through the Port of Albany in case of cancellations. Please note that walk-in visitors will not be admitted.
This is a unique opportunity to see a modern U.S. Navy warship right here in our area—and a memorable way to kick off Independence Day weekend!

🧩☕ FRIDAY MORNING MATH PUZZLER SOLVED! ☕🧩

🧩☕ FRIDAY MORNING MATH PUZZLER SOLVED! ☕🧩
The problem is:
2 + 2 + 6 + 8 × 0 = ?
✅ Step 1: Use Order of Operations
Multiplication comes before addition.
So first:
8 × 0 = 0
Now the problem becomes:
2 + 2 + 6 + 0
✅ Step 2: Add
2 + 2 = 4
4 + 6 = 10
10 + 0 = 10
🎯 Final Answer: C. 10
📚 Teaching Tip
A common mistake is adding everything first:
2 + 2 + 6 + 8 = 18
Then multiplying by zero:
18 × 0 = 0 ❌
But only the 8 is multiplied by 0, not the whole expression.
✅ Correct answer: 10
